Salt Lake City Sept 22d, 83 Beautiful landscape & colors. Arrived at Salt lake City about 1pm.General & Judge went to the Font? with Mr Cook?. Tidball & I to the Walker House Erb ?. Very good house. After dinner Erb drove me up to the Font? to a Ball. Very pleasant with all the people. Danced once. Talked & drank & had a good time. To bed 2 am
