driver of my ambulance a character & very useful man) mule had got loose in the night & when we started it insisted on following - We had got out several hundred yards when we found it out. I wanted Boon to go with the post today & didn't want to risk losing the mule in the Black Jack / where it would become perfectly wild in a week ) 

So all turned back driving the mule - About 300 yards from camp a
