WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 1863. Rained all day & night. 25 of our Co & about 200 of the regt went out on picket at 7 o'clock this morning. Commenced building a hut, and had to carry logs to build one for the Captain.

THURSDAY 19 Finished our hut so that we could sleep in it at night. I went over yesterday to the 56 Pa to see Lieut. Dave Cunningham. D.W. Moss came from Wash. and came to camp today. We took Stoddard & Swiford into our mess

FRIDAY 20 The boys came in from picket pretty well done out. Built a chimney in our hut, and stopped up the cracks. Corporal Wm. Templeton returned from being home on furlough.
