THURSDAY, JANUARY 28, 1864. Went up on Pony Mountain arriving in time to see the sunrise. Had Col Dana's glass & were permitted to look through the glasses of the Signal Corps It was foggy but could see a battery of the Reb Nicholls & Harry came down today

FRIDAY 29 Jones received a very large box from some lady friend in West Virginia. Gustin's wife came today.

SATURDAY 30 The fine weather has ended and it is now raining
