5/16/09 Still Agency Lake half covered with broken Ice. Morning. Evening still a border of Ice on south side of the lake and at Piety hill. 5/17/09 Still some Ice on south side.

             On the Lake Walker side Ice in bay and around docks so boats cant get out. On the big lake Ice seems to be still compact from Otter tail to sugar points - as far as can 
             be seen with the glass.

5/18 Mr Kulander brought over 2 tons freight and the Walker & agency ports of Leech Lake are open still apparently solid on big Lake.
