I very much approve of their decision to establish themselves in a house -- their happiness cannot but be promoted by it and as to the future let them wait & trust that a way suitable & desirable will be opened for them. While the new fence was making & the old one taken away or boarded up somewhat back at the house some unruly cows broke in & entirely destroyed all our corn (a fair parcel) squashes, beets &c. making sad havoc - it was while the doctor was sick, I heard the cows, waked Mary & sent her to drive them out about three oclock.
