Nov 1 Left our Camp at the crossing of the Arkansas this morning and abut 10 oClock came upon a large drove of Buffaloes quietly pasturing on the Rolling Bluffs to the north of the River it was a grand and refreshing sight to see So Many Cattle spread over the hills it Made one think of home and the farm land/
