Dear Brother Joseph
I this day received your letter and in answer will say that I am very h-e-e-m-m
My Dear Son As Almeda made her letter so short I will write a little to tell you that I want you should take care of Eliabs health if he wont take care of it himself. I don't think he's fit to go back but he will - he has evidently "the Liver complaint" a real dose of calomel or some such active medicine might now throw it off - perhaps shall send you three or four of my very stout gloves? we sold some to Mr. Bunker at 2/ should send the rest there but Albina wants to get with them some paper to paper the kitchen which Mr Bunker hasn't got - if you can't change them for the paper just put them in the bundle & send em back or do sell them as you please.
If you send any more pants to make put in more thread, worth 2/6 or 3/ to make em but Albina says she would be glad to make some more for 2/ per pair rather than not make, for the sake of paying debt. If you have time for it I wish you write a long letter all about your journey to Boston your success in your business and whatever you are willing to retake in regard to yourself make haste to send home whatever news you get from Isaac - may the blessing of God attend you and keep you from every evil goodbye
