at what time you expect to come home - whether you come before the the time for Spring work or not I suppose it would be well to get oxen. And hire George if he can be had for reasonable wages - for there seems to be now no prospect that you can have Ellridge or either of the Hants - or indeed any body presently there may be when the men come out of the woods but they say common kind of hands get 26,00 a month if so they wont work very cheap on a farm. I ask'd Charlie what I should write to you he says tell Faver he better come before we plant. But I guess George & James & I can get it done - he is naturally a good boy but he has learn'd a great many naughty ways this winter Jane has been to school & she has grown reckless om school & saucy - she doesn't heed Albina's authority at all - we think of having her go away just as soon as we can find a place for her

Is your work harder that you are doing there than you usually do winter? Feb. 26th we have just received letters from you dated Feb. 12 Your letters seems to come pretty regularly I cant think why you dont get letters oftener we have none of us been remiss about writing to you. But perhaps you have reciev'd ever so many before now. I hope S. Conant will be beneficial to Isaac and do well for himself. I was surprised to hear that he was there the worst fault I know of him (tho' I know but little about him) is that he is apt to talk large . He is I guess rather an excentric character tho' pretty good in the main. His Father has made his will gave S. only 50,00 & Hervey all the rest. Sam'l is big enough to do something but I should think him not so fit for any Mechanical business the children have been unwell with colds Josie was quite sick a few days but is better now Charlie cried with the earache considerable one night and Mary is very much troubled with her teeth she has got 6 of her fore teeth and one double tooth just cut thro' O' I hope you have got many of our letters & will write & tell all what to about the farm &c.
