John has just return'd from the P.O. & we have no letters yet - we suppose the folks [Eliab & Maria] get to Binghampton sometime this week if they are all well - but we have some fears that some of them are sick I do not think much of presentiments & fears & am hardly willing to acknowledge that I had before they went some misgivings - slight fears principally I suppose because they seem'd that their minds were a little too much absorb'd too much drawn away from the straight & rugged way - But probably you'll see them all well & happy sometime next week I want very much to hear from you all do please write soon all of you to your loving Mother
