Dear Eddy,

Our ink is all spilt so I write with a pencil. I am very glad indeed to get so many letters from you. Do they have to tell you how to spell every word? Or do you remember some of them. I wonder if you can spell Eddy. I wish I could send you some apples. We have a kind that will keep clear into the summer if we had enough of them. Frank yoked up a pair of yearling calves this morning and tried to drive them, but they were pretty awkward. We have got some little pigs. The sow had ten. The weather has been so cold.
