Metcalf were invited - and Mrs M will probably attend. Mrs M being unavoidably detained therefrom. I have also -(another item)-reason to suppose that Mr & Mrs H.E. Brooks of Cleveland is now at the house, having lately, this afternoon, arrived there. I expected they might come yesterday, H.E.B to make figures and bid upon our new school house. Bids to be opened tomorrow. He has not much time to make his figures. Our house seems remarkably empty. I guess there is room enough for visitors. Respectfully and ancestrally.
