of bells - all of which are rung on state occasions- Saw an old Priest a Monk came to the Church door with a silver plate which he he held out for contributions - I have found out the name of those tall straight trees which grow in the court just in front of my window. It is the Camphor tree of Australia & is a very rapid groath [sic] these being but three or four years old & now tower above the three or four story house around here -
