Dear Sister Mary,

  It seems a long time since we have heard from you and we are getting quite anxious. I dare say it is our fault as we have been very careless about writing you for the last few weeks. The Cen. started this morning, and this afternoon we four girls went off on a tramp. Perhaps you know that there is a road this winter from David Price's right past our house and through the backyard down to the other road. So we took the horse and sleigh and started, Anna and I stopped and spent the afternoon at Henry Thomas'
