Heptagon, & their rods were restored to the Holy Place, not to be touched till the next day.

         It was now a little before noon.
              The cleansers, or exorcisers, having deposited their rods, went to the treasure or store house, & taking some of the meat which the hunters had placed there, distributed it through the town, to be cooked for an evening repast by the new fire.
              It is time, now, to revert to the Gowah, teekanaw, ghistee ___ He continued dwelling on the note eeh (sounded as e long, like i in the word pique), which he was uttering as he left the door of the National Heptagon, until he had ascended the roof; ___ never drawing his breath till he had reached the top. He now commenced the grand mystical hymn.
              This hymn contained seven verses. Each verse, consisting of one line, repeated four times, was chaunted in a distinct tune. Thus, the seven verses were chaunted in seven tunes. The seven verses, or lines, thus chaunted, were as follow:
