November Tuesday 24 1863 | November, Tuesday, 24. 1863. Cool but pleasant day. No remarkable incidents. Cannonading heard in the middle of the day. Troops arrived last night from Natchez .Forage came in steamer Sultana I am informed. Read paper of the 16th—no remarkable news. Heavy rain last night. Camp dry however today Have not been up town for some days for the reason that I would not ride a starving horse | ||
