November, Saturday, 21. 1863. Cleared off pleasant no rain Wrote a letter to sisters Eunice & Sarah. Called on Mrs Miller & had a very pleasant chat of an hour or two. Sunday, 22. Pleasant day. Wrote a letter to Sherman Lieut Sabin called and we spent a pleasant hour together. Sent our horses out to graze—no forage. Paid Delice & Sarah servants each $2.00. Had dress parade & afterward had Articles of War read to the Regiment. To morrow the Rgt [[Regiment]] is to be inspected by Lieut Sabin. Inspection of the Post. Had disappointed expectations. My boy Robt [[Robert]] off up town & I mad [word underlined] | Sunday, 22. Pleasant day. Wrote a letter to Sherman Lieut Sabin called and we spent a pleasant hour together.
