Wednesday May 26, 1875 This has been a lovely day. all of us well I received a dispatch from Ada that she would not be here in the morning. I went to see Belle found her out at Mifs Brainards Concert. I met Mrs Rand at Belle's house. Mrs Harvey and Belle came up after supper to see us, I went out driving with Eva to day, she not well, Duretta who was so ill with Dropsy. was at Bell's quite well. Thursday May 27, 1875

Mr & Mrs Leiter left at five for New York, and sail for Europe in a few days she took her three children with her and Mrs as Nurse. they will be gone many months Dr Locke called to see me, so did Mrs Edson Heith, at seven O'clock we had sharp shower and at half past seven Mr Badger and I went to the Matteson House to a tea party given by
