Kyle 23 Tom School X Saturday March 20, 1875 teeth + Last night at seven O,clock, Belle had a bad spell which alarmed Mr Kearney and I very much. We sent off in haste for Dr Small and Dr Johnson and for Mr Badger. I think it was the crisis of her desease. She had a rigid spell with mouth set and then a severe Sweat in an hour after her pains were a little better. We sat up all night with her, the change of room dont agree with her nerves it makes her too warm. She spent a sleepless night and is so nervous that all her pains have returned, I rode home a moment this afternoon to change clothes Sunday March 21st 1875. This is a bright sunny day, Belle feeling worse from her bad night. We sent for Dr Small to give her something to sleep. We moved her back into her front room. and she is feeling easier. Her sufferings are not so bad to day, but she is very feeble. We sat up with her most of the night. all my family well. Eva Ada Hunt Rob and Tom all came down to see me this morning. Ada gone to buy a new brown silk dress. Belle is now sleeping while I write, and I hope will wake up feeling refreshed. Eva dont feel well. a letter from Sister Belle in Louisville says all are well. Belle,s baby has four teeth, she strong & well says several words and tries to walk. Teusday March 23 1875 It looks like rain, Belle spent a bad night, with pain, and this morning is very drowsy with fever. not any better, I feel quite discouraged, We sat up part of the night and I laid on a sofa in the room but did not undress. Dr Small says she has fever to day. it is now two weeks since she was attacked. all my family were well last night. Eva is feeling fatigue very much. Miss Kyle is making a dress for Ada Mr Badger Ada Eva and Nancy Moone came to see Belle she is a black woman who minded Belle when a baby Mrs Nelson Mrs Chapin and Mrs Cook and Mrs Read came to see Belle. | ||
