Floyd, 3 or 4 times.  The Regt is on the front he is back with the wagons.  Major Kennedy is well, but I have not seen him yet.  Our advance is within 3/4 of a mile of Atlanta, and for the last 3 days the fighting has been continual.  Maj Genl McPherson was killed on the 22nd and Maj Genl John Logan and takes his command.  By Journal of the 11th which I received today I see brother Isaac is admitted to the High School.  I congratulate him in his success and hope he will apply himself to study, and be still more succefsful.
