Brainerd Cherokees Nation April 30 Dear Madam Miss Ames says her friend were very kind to send her so many letters in the box and she wishes us to help her answer them. I think if I were with you in New England I would do something to reward you. Mrs. Dean who is now dead wished me to go with her to New England and I wished to go but I suppose it is as hard for the Cherokees to leave their parents to go to New England as it is for the Northern Children to leave their parents to come here.
