Friday Feb 27-

It is a lovely day- quite warm- a large Vessel came in, the first this season- Mrs Vandertvoyt called, I went down street- Alice went home this evening- children gone to a party at Harmons. Mr Badger gone for them, Mr Hunt here to night- we played cards- my baby? has sore mouth- Mr John Drake married to Miss Corie- I received cards to day-

Saturday Feb 28-

It looks like rain- children busy making toffe candy I went down street- after we went to Murdocks lecture, but he did not not read on account of sickness- so we returned home-

Sunday March 1st 1863

This is an ugly day- past snow and rain- Mr Badger gone to Church- Mr Hunt and Mr Hemming here this Afternoon and took tea with us- they remained untill ten O. clock- I received a letter from David- Peter Donegan dead who married Maggie Coleman

Monday March 2nd 1863

We all in health- I went down town shopping- It unclear- Belle took her music lesson-

It looks like snow- we all well- Eva gone to get Dr Godfrey to straighten her tooth, Mrs Edwin Hunt & daughter called, Mr A Bigelow called-

Wednesday March 4th 1863

It looks like rain- after dinner Belle & Eva went out to the unclear Badger,s to a candy pulling - it being Ella,s birthday- after tea Mr Badger and I went out- it very rainey. Mr Hunt & Hemming here to dinner.

Thursday March 5th

It is a cloudy day- no one came- I cut out childrens new black merino shirts- braided with Jewlet sent a box to Louisville with some things for sister- receivedas a present fromSister Virginia beautiful black merino band for my Magenta merino dress the band braided with white silk braid-

FridayMarch 6th 1863

This is a beautiful day all of us well but Sheridan- he sick with cold Mrs Ezra L. Sherman called to see me- I received letters from home- I went to Mrs Daniel Thompsons to the Serving Society we had a very nice dinner- I danced every Sett- Mr Hunt called to see us- Mr Hilton and Octavius- both Brotherinlaws went to New York to night - Mr Hemming
