you say of your school it must be pleasant. You and Mary ? there it seems to spend sometime in the spring on the Cape. I hope you will have a very pleasant time and it will be the means of doing you much good mentally and physically. In reference to your California brother I Aurelien you if I get as far west as the Golden Clime I will try to look him up and bring him back to dear old New England. But would you believe it I have got so I have no inclination to return to New England to live. I prefer living in the west decidedly. Do you ask why? It is because I can do so much better here than there and I think my health is also better. Are those good reasons? I love the intelligence and virtue of New England but the elements of progress I think I see here in greater abundance than there.
