This is like a summer day, so warm & sunny all well but one, my cough bad like Bronchitis, my knee better.

Mr Bland Ballard arrived this morning from Chicago, where the family have been visiting Mrs T.W. Harvey. Mrs Ballard will come to Lousiville on Monday to get her clothes to visit again, Belle Houston saw Ada Swearingen at the Theatre last night and she looked well. To night Mr Bullard will take dinner with Mrs Houston, and will sleep at Mrs Shreve,s house and take breakfast at his sisters (the Mifses Bullard) he is alone.  
Mr Bland Ballard arrived this morning from Chicago, where the family have been visiting Mrs T.W. Harvey. Mrs Ballard will come to Lousiville on Monday to get her clothes to visit again, Belle Houston saw Ada Swearingen at the Theatre last night and she looked well. To night Mr Ballard will take dinner with Mrs Houston, and will sleep at Mrs Shreve,s house and take breakfast at his sisters (the Misses Ballard) he is alone.  
Ada Swearingen came to see us all this morning, in her tan suit, she looked, very well. Could not stay to Lunch, as she expected her husband home to Lunch. Mattie Belle gone to see Mrs Moore, Belle [[unclear]] going to a Dancing class party Ada showed me a letter from her Uncle Shreve Mifs Eliza Nock called to see me, an old friend I knew when young. I was out. her father was Dr Wm Nock, he kept a drug store. and had a large family of sons and daughters
