Wednesday, 10. Heavy showers in the night. Rained at times during the day Straightening things [unclear] with camp everything in confusion Learned that the principal part of the force of the rebels has moved back. Have things fixed for myself very comfortably and expect a good nights rest.  Same  X  -1

Thursday, 11. Rec'd orders this morning to more the Regiment to Millikens Bend. Do so on board Fanny Bullitt. This is among the fortunes of war. Got off just at night and were down the river. Not at all accommodating on boat and I got very angry.. Reach the Bend in the night.
