My dear Cousin:- Just today did I receive your splendid box of candy. In contrasts to most packages received here, it was in fine shape and I want to thank you for it. I think your recipe for fudge is excellent and it certainly was fine of you to think of me - even tho I am in the jungles + out of civilization. From what I hear from home, I understand that you are having some stormy weather. Can you imagine Christmas day with the thermometer registering around the 90 degrees mark? That is just
