Was sent for this morning by Genl Reid learned he had sent a force to Bayou Macon to cross-had found more opposition than they had expected and sent back for reinforcements which were being sent. Continued to be on the alert. Had a dress parade for the first time at night. Made requisitions for supplies & about sending to St, Louis and Memphis. Recd a letter from Mrs. Chilcote. | ||
