Dear Aunt Jennie:
Your letter was very gladly received about a week ago, and your [[postal?]] yesterday. We were considerably surprised to hear of [[Mife]] Williams arrival to this country. I trust that she will be more favorably impressed than was Uncle [[Rath.?]], with the country and people. I know she will like her first cousins, anyway, whether she does the rest of the Americans or not. I have had some very pleasant letters from her, and should like very much to become acquainted. Do you think it would be improper, or unadvisable, considering all circumstances, to write her to visit us?
