Revision as of 22:26, 1 April 2020

We have been taking goods till today but shall act no longer for the same parties as heretofore. Mr. Wilder is now in New York trying to effect an arrangement with another party and if he succeeds he will probably con- tinue in the same business at this office - I am now alone anxiously awaiting his return. If he is successful and secures the object of his present visit to New York there may be a chance for me - He says he will do his best to secure for me a Situation. I wish I could write more definitely but at present everything is unsettled & uncertain - We may or may not get our pay for Sept. I don't know yet how that will be. What changes occur for want of Capital. Surely money makes the pony go. Times are very hard and no signs of there being any improvement.

[written along the left-hand side] Please remember me to Mr. and Mrs. David Kendall (and Miss K)

[written along the right-hand side] I hope the trio of youth and beauty have arrived home safe and may they always look as happy & smiling as when here.
