And about Miss [Stevens] & Mrs [Sherwood]. And if you have heard from Mrs Green she has not answered my letter and I cannot learn that any one knows anything about her. The [papers] [stated] last summer that [Saratoga] was [Saratoga] - but the company that had previously visited there had gone to Europe’s and other foreign parts in search of amusement - do tell! which they can do with them big halls if the [pleisure-seakers] findes more desirable [work]. Mrs Anna Niven’s health is very poor - she had the Measles last Aug and they left her much feebler than before. I never saw her look so [badly] as she has since - and as the winter [season] is her [last] season for health I have good reason to fear the result of the following summer. Emma is well and grows tall fast - she goes to school this winter - has got a new pair of long-legged boots
