Saturday, January 27. Washington Iowa Has been damp & snowing some during the day. Rail road meeting at the [[Uclear ]] at 1 PM. Was present. Have not done much toward a settlement of the firm affairs & Sherman still working at the Books. Went calling at night, found [[underlined in red]] Miss Wilson not at home. Miss Mattie [[Dawes]] ditto.
