Tuesday, 20. Morning still here & will be some time yet delayed. It does seem impossible to get away. Started just afternoon going some 30 or 40 miles & laid by for the night. Wednesday, 21. Started early this morning. Arrived at Helena before noon & laid by for an hour or more. Saw Col. Bussey. Saw Rice & [[Kittery]]. Sat until late before retiring.
