31 July Springs but saw some of the tar from think it is a very good location for wagons - drove through a small cañon camped on a small creek - Dis 12 g80 Fri 22d Drove over the mountain crosses Echo Creek entered Echo Cañon which is rightly named took sketches one of Cave rock the other of the Urn & Cave Castle both see in one view camped right in the cañon & went hunting saw lots of deer tracks but killed nothing currents & whortle berries by the bushel Dis. 18 - Sat 23d
