unclear punishment so many times they expected they should again, & although expresly commanded by t Lord, to turn & go back into t. wilderness, they did not choose to obey this command: but of their own accord, rose early & went up into t. top of t mountain (saying, come, we'll atone for past disobedience by going up immediately into t. land t Lord hath promised. Now we,ll make up for all past offences. But Moses & sd Why now do ye transgress t commdt of t. Lord?
