My own health since sisters death has been very poor, I am better now and am getting quite fleshy since I came West, but I fear I shall never be able to endure much. Last month I visited Uncle at Sacramento and while I was there he received a letter from you. Before that though the Magazine they had learned of the death of cousin Cynthia. Dear Aunt & Cousins
Perhaps you will be surprised to receive a letter from me in California. I came here last August.
