       Charge - Conduct predjudicial to good order

and Military discipline.

       Specification - In this that he, the said Private
Joseph Lowe of Co. "B" 2nd ? Lt. Arty. did cock his carbine

and point it at Curtis Williams Co. "K" 6th U.S. Vol. Saying, "you God Damn Rebel Son of a bitch I had rather shoot one of you than to shoot an Indian" (and would in all probability have shot said Curtis Williams if he had not been prevented by another soldier, whose name is unknown.) This at Sutters Store Post Cottonwood N. B. on or about the 3rd day of November 1865 [Witnesses] Curtis Williams Private-Co."K" 6th U.S. Vols.
