     I believe it is for the interests of the service to discharge every citizen clerk at the post, [illegible] procured from the Companies to do the duties without affecting injuriously the efficiency of this Command.  I am opposed to taking Soldiers for teamsters & such like duties, but one of the Comsy Q. M. Supts could be selected as Post Q. Mr Supt another as Comy Supt. & while two or three good
