You will at once see how matters stand here. I am sorry that the 7th Cavalry wagon train &c was brought so far down as it could have done as well or better above, but I believe it is doing no harm where it is camped. The Kansas Reg't is half way between this place and Chandleir and will be brought no nearer. Major Kidd's Battalion is well placed for the present and there is a good place for you left near to him. | |||
