Hume Cronyn at the MacDowell. Don't know what part he could play. He was working on a dramatization of stuff from Foxfire underlined which is that mag run by one of my former Cornell students.

 I'll show your note to my agent & a guy in NY who's asked me for movie material. I suspect

they'll want a more definite contract between us than a note of non-exclusive permission. Also I've been ripped off so many times that for the protection of both of us it should be more definite. I'm willing to crusade to get a movie done. we'd both be ripped off if someone came along & stole the idea. All we have to know to make a definite contract (contingent of course on my producing an acceptable script) is what the split would be, I don't even know what's standard between an author and an adapting? script-writer. I'll ask my agent.
