Norman Luboff, Marv David and I have been commissioned by the commission to write a Dramatic - Musical Cantata about Gov. Coles and the anti-slavery struggle in early Illinois 1819 - 1824. The working title, "Exodus underlined: to Egypt." (The idea and research are mine.) We're all very much excited about it.
