As for Ma, nearly all her clothes have been given to her, for several years, and indeed, if it had not been for her children, she would have suffered for proper food[underlined] this winter. Where a man does not support his wife, is not that sufficient cause for leaving him? We do not feel at all distressed at the prospect, but quite pleased. Sis says "our free[underlined] papers[underlined] are made out." Think it over, and tell me what you advise. I received Jule's letter today, but have not time to answer it, just now.
