Dear Miss Roullier -
I am a friend of Katharine Dudley's, & as she is in Paris, I am writing to you direct, to ask if you would be interested in an exhibition of paintings by a Japanese artist who lives in Mexico & teaches in a school of open air painting there. I was in Mexico last winter & saw two of his paintings at a show there at the Modern Gallery in the National Theatre. I liked them so much that I brought up fourteen of them, & the Hackett Galleries, 9 East 57th St, New York are giving him a one man show the last two weeks in November.
I enclose a page from Forma a Mexican magazine, which shows two of his paintings. I have photographs of the other paintings
that I could send you later, but just now they are being used in a magazine article. If you would be interested in giving Mr. Kitagawa a show at the Arts Club, would you let me know at the above address.
Sincerely, Susan Smith
