Dear Jack: unclear mark In a letter written earlier today, I sent £10.00 (!) to cover the cost of a pair of nice
kid dress shoes from Foot-So-Port Co., who may be on Jackson near Wabash. I forgot to say that for years I posed as out-of-state, saving the sales tax. I began using these shoes while on the EJ&E Ry, at Gary. Then Indiana had no sales tax.
Mrs. Mead reminds me to say that things aren't underlined: all bad over here. I never cease to admire the big city buses
