On the analogy between Tropics - What in all of them a foreign or strange word is used instead of a proper one; & therefore on this is said & another Meant - Thus when one thing is said, and mens another almost the same as in a Synecdoce or Comparison:  When one thing is Said & another is ment  mutuall depending, it is Matronymy:  Irony when one thing is said, meaning something opposite.  Metaphor when one thing is said & means another like to it.  Allegory - is a Metaphor continued & often [[?]].  Hyperbole is a Metaphor carried on to a great degree of boldness.  Catachridis is something harsh, shocking & improper.
