June 25 The Extraordinary Session of Congress meets at Houston 94 in a day or so. The 'War Party' are for an..ion? of Mexico by Sea & Land, with what forces ^there may be in the country - that is the citizens and the U. States Volunteers. But the Treasury is empty & the ^fort has no credit. Some of the 'war party' to use their own language and to 'go the whole animal, horns and all' & add 'Let us prepare for an invasion of Mexico in the fall - ?sh Lain? 20,000 men in the field.
