   In the commencement of 1804, my brother & myself still remained with [[our?]] worthy patron & attended the school   was at this period, I began to have a desire to become a messanger of the prince of peace - I manifested a great anxiety for salvation [[?]] my unfortunate countrymen considered to be an office most honourable in its nature, but very difficult in its execution, and was ready to exclaim with the inspired apostle, "who is sufficient for these things" yet, I was encouraged, with that animating promise of our exalted master - Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
