Thurs. Oct. 28 1897. a.m. Wood lot pick apples Northern Spy. p.m. cows broke per pasture fence. mended fence. then again to wood lot for apples. Fri. 29 a.m. Wood lot pick apples. p.m. Net used horse. drove to Oberlin with Florence Bullock I cut down part of hay stack & put it in barn. Sat 30 a.m. Eli Ike & I finished picking apples at Wood lot. picked up all apples from ground as we went along. p.m. Eli and I to wood lot sawing. eve. Roy Foley here. slept down stairs. [in margin] Jo's birthday 17 yrs. Sun. 31 only 4 boys at SS. Lake Ave. 24 present . Gates there & rode back with me.
