I know it is hard fro her but cheifly because of her peculiar temperament she is naturally impatient & easily overcome by any thing difficult or disagreeable I think she does try very much to get the better of it & is to be pittied. The Children all do well & she has every think as comfortable as could be expected Walter is well enough to do the chore about house and take care of every thing

     My Son Dr. De Witt seems to be a very fine man I like him much & perhaps am a little proud of him haven't I a first rate half dozen of Sons "any way" or 1/4 of a doz. at any rate where will you find three "likilier" folks than Mr. Rider DeWitt and Furber the Dr. says he wouldn't be hir'd at any price to live & work where Mr. Rider does because of the flies
