Sam'l has been buying fruit tress & thimbleberry gooseberry raspberry & currants bushes for his garden. There seems to be a great zeal for gardening & fruit in this city. A Mr. Somebody gave 50, 00 for 5 plum trees a few days ago. I've all send love as much as we can spare from the little precious one. I almost forgot to tell you his name.. P.P. Anna has known rather more of Maria than the rest of us she says that she seems to make a very favorable impression on those who have call'd on her. Proff. Shepherd & wife and Mrs. Jenkins have been somewhat acquainted with her Father.
