Sat. Feb. 8 Harry Wilkins has been here today to engage me to go & teach school two months in "Hobstown" as Jo calls it 9/ per week. I ought to have had 10/6 but feared I should lose the chance if I asked it, Eliab has, as he says, got his name up I guess- but I am afraid he will meet with difficulty before he gets through this time. He has written you about it, I suppose. | Sat. Feb. 8 Harry Wilkins has been here today to engage me to go & teach school two months in "Hobstown" as Jo calls it 9/ per week. [left-hand side]we hop'd to have an opportunity to send letters last week or first of this & not send bundle till you come but if Mr. Cutts gives you the bundle soon enough you can dismiss your school and come up with him if you think it & dont know whether it is best or not my chief reason for writing you this week is lest something should prevent your coming at all if you dont - but if you could procure a horse and sleigh as cheap I should think you had better get one and come Friday & not lose so much time. when you come home. Good night. affectionately Sis Lucy. Mother says bring home whatever needs fixing, of your clothes. Sat.

[bottom] I am to begin school the middle of next week- board at Sam'l Hobbs probably - shall get 12,00-better than nothing, is'nt it? I am sorry to leave Joseph's school. I wanted to go farther in Algebra. Those Chadbourne will dare to catechise me much, when I go to be examined.
